Assessments

DEXA Scan: This tool provides precise and authentic body composition analysis, measuring fat mass and visceral fat, lean muscle mass, and bone density.

  • Identifies precise body fat percentage and distribution (visceral fat vs subcutaneous fat).

  • Excess visceral fat is a key factor for metabolic diseases like diabetes, cardiovascular and certain cancers.

  • Assess bone health to detect or predict osteoporosis.

  • Predictive Type-2 diabetes and hear disease risk assessment

Fit3D: This scanner creates a comprehensive 3D avatar of your body, capturing posture, symmetry, and circumferential measurements. Fit3D is ideal for tracking physical changes from exercise or diet programs and improving alignment, helping patients visualize progress beyond the scale.

NeuroCatch: This innovative tool measures brain health, including attention, memory, and processing speed. It is beneficial for tracking cognitive function, early detection of mental decline, or recovery from brain injuries, ensuring mental wellness is as prioritized as physical health.

Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR): is the gold standard for understanding your metabolism, measuring how many calories your body burns at rest to support essential functions. This data helps create personalized nutrition and fitness plans to optimize energy balance, weight management, and overall health, making it essential for anyone looking to improve their metabolism or achieve fitness goals.

VO2 Max: The gold standard for measuring cardiovascular fitness, VO2 Max evaluates how efficiently your body uses oxygen during exercise.

  • Designed to evaluate your current fitness level

  • Evaluation offers peer comparison

  • Reveals your heart rate zone with precision helping train in your different zones

  • A key figure when it comes to longevity

Laboratory Testing: Comprehensive lab panels divided into three specialized categories:

  • Blood Analysis: Key biomarkers for understanding overall health, inflammation, and chronic disease risks.

  • Microbiome Testing: A detailed look at gut health to optimize digestion, immunity, and overall well-being.

  • Genetic Testing: Personalized insights into your DNA, helping to tailor interventions based on your genetic predispositions.

I-SHALL (I Seek a Healthy Active Long Life) + Customization

Our I-SHALL program is the foundation upon which we build all customized plans.

Born from the need to prevent and treat prevalent chronic diseases outside of the symptom-based traditional medical system, the I-SHALL program embraces the ethos of lifestyle medicine. Standing tall on the foundation of the 6 pillars of healthy living, I-SHALL is about nurturing sustainable, holistic lifestyle choices that transcend fleeting fixes. Through our program, you will embark on a transformative journey, enhancing not just your health, but the very essence of your life’s quality.

The I-SHALL program is ideal for maintaining and improving your health and preventing metabolic dysfunction. It also treats and, when possible, reverses chronic diseases like type 2 diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. The I-SHALL program also supports you in the unexpected journey of recently diagnosed cancer or needed surgical treatment, giving you the space and tools for the best recovery and outcomes possible.

At the end of your 6-month program, you will emerge as a healthier version of yourself equipped with the confidence and knowledge to continue investing in your health journey.

I-SHALL + Peri-Conception

Our peri-conception program caters to women of childbearing age who wish to become pregnant. Extensive data show how an optimal in-utero environment significantly impacts the chances of conception and having a healthy pregnancy and baby. Your lifestyle leading up to conception can affect up to three generations: yourself, your child, and your grandchildren.

Many pregnancy complications, including preeclampsia, preterm birth, and gestational diabetes, increase the risk of the mother developing chronic conditions later in life. Through our specific lifestyle interventions, we prevent or improve future diseases before they even start. We also reduce the risk of repeat complications in future pregnancies.

This program collaborates with women before conception or, if already pregnant, during pregnancy through postpartum to ensure optimal maternal-fetal health.

Goals:

  • Reverse or reduce chronic diseases before conception

  • Improve fertility

  • Prepare the body for pregnancy

  • Support a physically and emotionally healthy pregnancy

  • Equip mothers with evidence-based knowledge for optimal fetal growth, smooth delivery, and raising a healthy baby

  • Control gestational diabetes mellitus through lifestyle changes: reverse pre-pregnancy insulin resistance, keep blood sugar stable, and avoid future chronic conditions

  • Monitor and care for the mother’s health postpartum to ensure maximum physical and mental well-being within the baby’s first 6 months

Duration: Pre-pregnancy, throughout pregnancy, and up to 6 months postpartum

Program highlights:

  • Extensive education and guidance on crucial aspects of newborn and infant care such as breastfeeding, initiation of baby’s solid foods, physical and mental stimulation for prime baby’s development, and more

  • As a valuable addition, the mother and baby will be followed for the first 6 months of the baby’s life (an extended follow-up period can be discussed)

I-SHALL + Body Strength

As we turn 50, we naturally start to lose muscle mass. In fact, muscle mass decreases by about 3-8% per decade after we turn 30 and accelerates after age 60. We lose muscle strength about 2 to 3 times faster than muscle mass, and we lose power (strength X speed) 2 to 3 times faster than strength.

After determining your body composition, and posture analyses and completing your medical assessment, we will tailor a program to your needs, emphasizing the importance of maximizing your muscle mass, strength, and power potential.

The goal is to slow down muscle mass decline and maximize strength and power so that we minimize your risk of injuries and let you enjoy a long and active life.

I-SHALL + Weight Management

Healthy weight is not about a number on the scale. It’s unique to the individual. We embrace the statement, “One size does not fit all.”

An unhealthy increase in body fat is considered harmful and leads to diseases like overweight and obesity. Obesity is a chronic progressive and relapsing disease. Untreated, it can lead to adverse metabolic, bio-mechanical, and psychological consequences. But obesity is treatable. It’s a multifactorial disease that requires a multifaceted, patient-centered, and individualized approach.

First, we make an appropriate diagnosis with accurate measurements. Then, we start treatment as established by the Obesity Medical Association, which is based on four main pillars: nutrition therapy, customized physical activity, behavioral modifications, and medical interventions such as GLP-1 / GIP agonists.

We accompany you through the process and support you 24/7 so you can achieve long-lasting results.

Goals:

  • Reduce premature mortality and improve metabolic effects such as reducing insulin resistance, fatty liver, and gout

  • Improve mechanical effects and reduce osteoarthritis and sleep apnea

  • Reduce the risk of certain cancers or improve response to cancer treatment

  • Improve psychological effects

  • Improve quality of life

  • Decrease needing multiple medications

  • Improve certain causes of infertility

  • Mitigate the risk of obesity in future generations

I-SHALL + Hormonal Changes / Perimenopause / Menopause / Andropause

The primary function of hormones is to regulate your metabolism. Hormonal imbalances occur during natural processes, like Menopause and Andropause, or in issues like thyroid disorders, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), and metabolic syndrome.

Different hormones work together to regulate our bodies. But when one fails, the whole equilibrium crashes and new diseases can arise. For instance, hormonal changes in Menopause can lead to the accumulation of belly fat, an increase in insulin resistance, and the development of metabolic syndrome. In Andropause, a hormonal imbalance, often characterized by declining testosterone levels, can lead to a range of issues including but not limited to, decreased libido, erectile dysfunction, fatigue, mood swing, reduced muscle mass, increase body fat and bone density loss.

Our program caters to women experiencing Perimenopause or Menopause and men experiencing Andropause symptoms and focuses on re-establishing hormonal balance. In this program, the 6 pillars of lifestyle medicine are designed to optimize your overall well-being, minimize symptoms, improve quality of life, and reduce the risk of developing chronic diseases. For those who may need additional tools to manage hormonal imbalances, our medical providers are experts in hormonal replacement therapies, ensuring comprehensive support during this life stage. We approach each individual’s Perimenopause, Menopause and Andropause experience in detail to understand your symptoms and create a customized plan to improve your quality of life.

Goals:

  • Understand your present metabolic status and identify any hormonal imbalance

  • Create a treatment plan if a hormonal imbalance is detected

  • Explore the different options for treating symptoms and arrive at a collaborative care plan

  • Implement lifestyle changes for overall well-being

  • Reduce the risk of future chronic diseases and their mortality

I-SHALL + Teens and Teen Athletes

Recognizing the unique needs of teens, our approach incorporates lifestyle interventions to prevent and treat physical and mental health specific to this population. For instance, 50% of mental health disorders develop by age 14. We help teens incorporate evidence-based lifestyle interventions that prevent and treat mood disorders.

In sports performance, childhood and adolescence are when the brain is more adaptable and open to acquiring new skills. Our program capitalizes on this opportunity by teaching young athletes to pursue healthy choices, identify negative behaviors impacting their development, incorporate lifestyle changes for optimal performance, and maintain them throughout their lives.

Our teens and teen athletes program takes a family-centered approach by making all resources available for teens and their parents. The support of family and loved ones is critical to teens' ability to thrive. Science has shown that adults who experience strong connections as youth are 48-66% less likely to develop mental health issues and engage in risky behaviors.

Goals:

  • Understand the present risks in the teen’s life and strengthen healthy behaviors

  • Explore each adolescent’s goals and create a plan based on those targets

  • Educate teens and their families about healthy habits

  • Screen for any mood disorders and provide support to navigate and overcome mental health issues

  • Maximize athletic performance while enhancing the teen’s overall well-being

I-SHALL + Self-Dependent ‘Golden Age’ Population

For our golden age individuals, we craft a tailored program that enables you to navigate the aging process with grace and vitality. This includes addressing specific nutritional needs, fitness guidance, cognitive stimulation, and stress management techniques. We aim to keep you self-dependent as long as possible to enhance your overall well-being and quality of life.

Dementia is not part of normal aging. Research has found that 41% of dementia is preventable. We help you significantly reduce your risk of dementia by treating high blood pressure, controlling your weight, engaging in regular physical activity, and maintaining strong social connections.

Goals:

  • Assess your overall physical and mental health

  • Prevent, treat, or reverse chronic disease

  • Follow a nutrition and exercise program tailored to your individual needs

  • Establish brain health parameters and help you learn how to preserve cognitive function

  • Boost energy and stimulate your brain

  • Create a community with similar interests to achieve social connectedness
